Mysterious glowing light appears in night sky over Viña del Mar, Chile

On April 17, 2026, in Viña del Mar, Chile, @nicolelayana shared a video capturing a faint glowing light behind clouds in the night sky. In the video, the glow is visible above the city skyline, as seen from Puente Quillota toward a nearby mall, creating a soft and unusual illumination across the clouds. The effect is consistent with high-altitude light sources such as a distant rocket plume reflecting sunlight or atmospheric light scattering. Similar sightings in other regions have been linked to rocket activity or distant illumination interacting with cloud layers, producing a diffused glow visible even at night.
