Students surprised as backpack appears to switch from red to black in Shandong, China

On October 16, 2026, in Shandong, China, @tequila shared an amusing video showing a Jordan backpack that appears to change color depending on its surroundings. In the video, students observe a maroon-red backpack resting on a table near a classroom window. When one student picks it up and carries it outside the classroom, the bag appears to turn black, creating the illusion of a color-changing design. According to reports, the effect is an optical illusion caused by differences in lighting, which influence how the backpack’s color appears to the human eye and camera.
