In the footage, the kitten peers through the narrow metal slots of the grate, while passing traffic and a nearby concrete divider highlight the dangerous location where it was discovered. According to the author, the kitten was rescued and later nicknamed “Calories” by netizens. Following fundraising efforts by concerned individuals, it was taken to a veterinary hospital in Hangzhou, where an examination revealed a fracture in its left hind leg.
