On October 25, 2026, in Belgrade, Serbia, @kubakrzywiecki shared footage of long queues forming outside polling stations during the country’s snap parliamentary election. In the video, voters line up along a sidewalk beside a city street, waiting behind black-and-yellow bollards as cars pass nearby. According to the author, some voters waited for up to an hour and a half to cast their ballots. When asked who they intended to vote for, many reportedly named the Student List, a student-backed movement that emerged amid anti-government protests and calls for greater accountability. The election took place amid nearly two years of student-led protests sparked by the collapse of a railway station canopy in Novi Sad in November 2024, which killed 16 people. On election day, monitoring group CRTA reported that 67.8% of voters had cast their ballots by 7 p.m., more than 12 percentage points higher than at the same time during the 2022 and 2023 elections. Long queues were reported at polling stations across the country as the Student List challenged the ruling camp led by Aleksandar Vučić.
