Newborn calf rescued from muddy water and reunited with its mother in Guangxi, China

On October 16, 2026, in Guangxi, China, @AFRdàcōng shared a heartwarming video of a newborn calf stuck in shallow, muddy water near a grassy field. In the video, the calf struggles to stand in the mud while its mother waits nearby at the water’s edge. Noticing the calf’s difficulty, the author steps into the muddy water, lifts the calf, and carries it to dry land beside its mother. After being set down, the calf continues to struggle to stand, seemingly weakened by its time in the mud. Eventually, it regains its strength and gets back on its feet. The calf then begins walking alongside its mother on dry land, bringing the rescue to a heartwarming conclusion.
