In the video, flames can be seen inside the kitchen of the Yoyogi food stall in the shopping centre's food court as thick smoke spreads across the area and gathers near the ceiling. Workers are initially seen attending the counter, with illuminated menu screens and food displays visible in the foreground. As the smoke continues to spread, the fire alarm sounds and visitors are instructed to evacuate the food court. According to the author, she noticed the fire in the kitchen and was initially unsure whether it was part of a normal operation or an actual emergency. Reports indicate that the fire started at a chicken shop identified as NeNe Chicken before spreading into the roof ducting.
