On October 16, 2026, in Guangxi, China, @Lǎo lǐtiān'é shared footage of a cycling accident during the 2026 Cotti Coffee – Tour of Guangxi UCI WorldTour. In the video, a group of cyclists rides along a road lined with red barriers as spectators watch from the sidewalks. As the riders approach a series of bends, several lose their balance and fall, triggering a crash that affects others in the group. According to reports, the incident occurred during the fourth stage, which ran from Bama through Fengshan to Tian'e, at a series of bends approximately 900 meters from the finish line. More than 10 riders were involved as they competed for position ahead of the final sprint. The commissaires panel and medical team determined that the crash resulted from normal competitive jostling. No riders were injured or forced to withdraw, and everyone involved completed the race. Under UCI regulations, riders involved in a crash within the final three kilometers are credited with the time of the rider or group they were with at the time of the incident. However, the final classification is determined by the actual order in which riders cross the finish line.
