Golden retriever bites pet groomer during bath in Shandong, China

On October 5, 2026, in Shandong, China, a security video captured an incident involving a golden retriever biting a pet shop attendant during a bath. In the video, a woman wearing a blue grooming apron is washing the wet dog inside a professional grooming tub when the animal becomes agitated and suddenly bites her. Startled by the unexpected reaction, the groomer quickly steps back. According to the author, although she was familiar with the dog because it belonged to a neighbor and often visited the shop, it had shown signs of discomfort during previous baths, including growling and baring its teeth. She explained that the bite left bruises on her arm but caused no serious injury. The groomer also reminded pet owners and fellow handlers that even familiar dogs can bite unexpectedly, so it is important to remain cautious when bathing them.
