Curious tabby cat playfully splashes water in a large wooden basin in Shaanxi, China

On October 28, 2026, in Shaanxi, China, @Yònghù438shūqīngqīngcǎoyuán9355274996 shared a video of a playful tabby-and-white cat investigating a large wooden water basin. In the video, the cat stands on its hind legs with its front paws resting on the rim of the weathered wooden basin, which is filled to the brim with clear water. Rather than simply drinking, the curious cat repeatedly reaches down and taps the water with its paw, splashing it before scratching at the side of the basin. The cat continues playing with the water, seemingly more interested in splashing around than taking a drink.
