Cat playfully moves its tail away as toddler tries to touch it in Shandong, China

On August 8, 2026, in Shandong, China, @Chēnměiréndemāmā shared a lighthearted video showing a playful interaction between a toddler and a cat. In the video, the cat can be seen sitting on a window ledge while the toddler lies on their stomach nearby, trying to reach the cat's tail. Each time the toddler gets close to touching it, the cat moves its tail away, turning the interaction into a playful back-and-forth. The toddler continues trying to catch the moving tail as the cat repeatedly shifts it out of reach. After a while, a parent intervenes and tries to move the cat away. Although the cat initially resists leaving its spot, it eventually moves down and settles in a corner.
