Learjet 60 crashes and explodes near a residential area, killing nine aboard in Florida, USA

In the video, the author is driving along a rain-soaked road when the rear-facing camera records a private jet suddenly plunging toward the ground and exploding on impact, sending flames and thick smoke into the air. According to reports, the aircraft was a Learjet 60 carrying nine people. It departed from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas and was bound for North Eleuthera Airport in the Bahamas when it crashed at approximately 12:50 p.m. All nine people aboard were killed, while one person on the ground suffered a leg injury. The crew had contacted air traffic control shortly before the crash, reporting light icing, moderate turbulence and altitude fluctuations of approximately 700 feet while flying at 35,000 feet. They then requested permission to climb to 37,000 feet, but less than 30 seconds later, the aircraft began a rapid descent and issued a mayday call. The crash damaged nearby infrastructure and forced approximately 600 residents from the surrounding area to seek temporary shelter.
