Ostrich struggles to eat a carrot offered by a zoo visitor in Liaoning, China

On November 1, 2026, in Liaoning, China, @Yányán shared an amusing video of two ostriches being fed at a zoo. In the video, the birds stand near visitors on the other side of a fence as the author offers a piece of carrot to the first ostrich. The bird eagerly takes the vegetable and begins munching on it, while the second ostrich tries to get a bite as well. However, the second bird struggles to fit the carrot into its mouth because it is positioned horizontally. The carrot eventually slips from its beak and falls to the ground. According to the author, the second ostrich's awkward attempt at eating the carrot was amusing. The author joked about the possibility of the carrot getting stuck in the bird's throat and added that, after seeing how it handled the first piece, they decided not to offer it another one.
