Young boy bursts into tears after close encounter with a lion dance performer in Guangdong, China

On October 29, 2026, in Guangdong, China, @Shídiǎnjūn shared a funny video of a child reacting to a traditional Chinese lion dance performance. In the video, a large yellow-and-gold lion costume decorated with intricate red patterns performs in front of a crowd. A young boy wearing a striped shirt and a white baseball cap sits in a stroller when the performers begin pushing him toward the lion. As the stroller moves closer, one of the lion dancers shakes the lion's head toward the child, startling him and causing him to burst into tears. The boy appears overwhelmed by the close encounter, while the performers continue the playful interaction. The author jokingly remarked that the boy had brought shame to Foshan Ancestral Temple, describing how bewildered he was when the lion dancer shook its head at him.
