Stilt-walking angel performer entertains crowds at Regent Street Christmas lights in London, UK

On November 5, 2026, in London, UK, @obbsie shared a video of a festive street performance during the 2026 Christmas lights switch-on celebration on Regent Street. In the video, an entertainer dressed as a celestial winter angel stands elevated on hidden stilts, wearing an elaborate white outfit and a feathered headpiece while spreading a pair of wide, shimmering, translucent iridescent wings. Dozens of visitors walk along the pedestrianised street, while several spectators stop to photograph and record the performer on their smartphones. The performance takes place outside the illuminated Onitsuka Tiger storefront, identifiable by its prominent signage and bright yellow flags. According to reports, the street performance was part of the official launch of the annual "Spirit of Christmas" light display, which took place on the evening of November 5, 2026. Regent Street was closed to vehicles from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. to accommodate the celebrations and visiting crowds. The Christmas lights had already been switched on, and barriers were installed around the intersection of Regent Street and Oxford Street to manage pedestrian traffic during the event.
