Wildfire burns across hillside in Kumluca, Antalya, Türkiye

On July 29, 2026, in Kumluca, Antalya, Türkiye, @berk.anl.esin shared a video capturing an active wildfire spreading across a rugged hillside. In the video, bright orange flames race through dry vegetation, consuming shrubs and small trees beneath a sky filled with dense gray and orange smoke. Thick smoke billows over the hillside, partially obscuring the sky, while a narrow dirt path, scattered pine trees, and nearby power lines highlight the fire's proximity to surrounding infrastructure. According to reports, the wildfire in Antalya's Kumluca district was brought under control following an intensive response involving two firefighting aircraft, four helicopters, 15 fire engines, 30 support vehicles, and 281 personnel. The blaze was part of Türkiye's most severe wildfire outbreak of the season on July 29 and 30, which prompted the evacuation of hundreds of residents as firefighters battled multiple large wildfires across the country.
