Man attempts to steal a parked car using a recovery truck in London, UK

On October 15, 2026, in London, UK, @nouriben7 shared a video showing an attempted car theft involving a flatbed recovery truck. In the video, a man wearing a yellow-green high-visibility vest attempts to tow away the author's parked black Nissan Juke, claiming that a customer had arranged for the vehicle to be collected. The author becomes suspicious and asks someone nearby to call the police while confronting the man. However, the suspect quickly climbs into his truck and drives away before police arrive, reportedly damaging other parked vehicles as he escapes. According to the author, they recorded the incident as evidence for the police. The attempted theft highlights a tactic in which criminals allegedly pose as legitimate vehicle recovery operators to remove targeted cars in plain sight.
