Monkey gets sprayed with cola after biting open can at Mount Emei in Sichuan, China

On November 2, 2026, in Sichuan, China, @Fēi-pǔlātí|liáoyù shared a funny video of a macaque monkey having an unexpected encounter with a can of cola. In the video, a large, thick-furred macaque sits on top of a wooden fence post, holding a bright red beverage can with both hands and examining it curiously. A nearby tourist watches with a wide grin, amused by the monkey's human-like behavior. The monkey eventually bites into the can, puncturing it and causing the carbonated drink to spray out unexpectedly. Startled by the sudden burst, the monkey tries to avoid the spraying liquid, but the cola continues splashing onto its face. It then drinks from the can before running away with it. According to the author, the monkeys of Mount Emei are known for their clever behavior, but this little monkey's attempt to enjoy its cola quickly turned into a messy mishap.
