Intense hailstorm blankets outdoor areas as severe thunderstorms hit Show Low, USA

On October 21, 2026, in Show Low, Arizona, USA, @craigmatthews48 shared a video of an intense hailstorm accompanied by torrential rain. In the video, dense sheets of precipitation obscure the background, reducing visibility across the outdoor area. Small white hailstones accumulate on the ground alongside colorful autumn leaves scattered across a landscaped concrete island as dark gray storm clouds blanket the area. According to reports, a powerful storm system swept across central and eastern Arizona, bringing heavy rainfall, wind gusts of up to 60–70 mph, and damaging hail. The National Weather Service issued multiple tornado alerts across northern and eastern parts of the state, with a possible tornado causing structural damage near Heber. Heavy precipitation also triggered localized flash flooding, overwhelming washes and affecting nearby communities.
