Hundreds of tractors gather for a nationwide farmers’ protest in Cedillo del Condado, Toledo, Spain

On October 28, 2026, in Cedillo del Condado, Toledo, Spain, @JavierSativo shared a video showing a convoy of tractors gathering ahead of a planned nationwide farmers’ protest in Madrid. In the video, several green and yellow John Deere tractors are parked closely together in a paved area as men stand between the vehicles and make preparations for departure. The author said the tractors were ready to leave and expressed concern that authorities might restrict the convoy, as they allegedly had during previous demonstrations. According to reports, approximately 500 tractors and thousands of farmers and livestock breeders from across Spain planned to protest rising production costs, limited profitability, and regulatory burdens associated with European Union agricultural policies. Organized by farming unions, the demonstration was scheduled to converge at Plaza de Colón in Madrid. However, the march was called off following a deadly high-speed train collision in Urda, Toledo, that occurred that morning. Instead, demonstrators held a quiet gathering and observed five minutes of silence in solidarity with the victims before dispersing.
