On October 27, 2026, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA, @ReOpenChris shared a video showing severe coastal flooding along East Las Olas Boulevard during the seasonal King Tides. In the video, dark floodwater inundates the palm-lined avenue, reaching the sidewalks and extending into the lower parking area of a modern residential building. Several parked vehicles near the flooded curb are partially surrounded by rising water as the high tides cause widespread flooding along the boulevard. According to reports, exceptionally high astronomical tides around October 26–27, combined with coastal conditions such as onshore winds and warmer ocean temperatures, contributed to flooding in low-lying waterfront neighborhoods, including the Las Olas Isles. The flooding disrupted traffic and made travel difficult for residents.
