Vendor uses string pulley system to deliver goods to upper-floor residents in Sichuan, China

On October 31, 2026, in Sichuan, China, @Ayǐng shared an amusing video of a vendor using a string pulley system to deliver goods to residents on upper floors. In the video, the vendor stands on the street holding a small hand-wrapped spool connected to a thin string extending toward an apartment balcony or window above. A small plastic bag is attached to the line, allowing the vendor to place the customer's order inside before carefully pulling the string to lift the goods toward the upper floor. The simple delivery method allows residents upstairs to receive their orders without having to come down to the street.
