Massive warehouse fire sends thick black smoke into the sky in Osaka, Japan

In the video, several firefighters battle the blaze as thick smoke continues to billow from the building, while nearby pedestrians cautiously make their way through the area. According to reports, the fire broke out at approximately 10:55 a.m. in Ishida 1-chome, involving an eight-story warehouse undergoing demolition. The flames spread across approximately 5,000 square meters, heavily damaging the third through eighth floors. Nearby residents reported hearing a loud, explosion-like bang before thick black smoke began billowing into the sky, at times severely reducing visibility. An extensive emergency response was deployed, involving 64 fire engines, a helicopter, and a fireboat. All five workers inside the building reportedly evacuated safely, and no injuries were reported. By around 6:00 p.m., nearly eight hours after the fire started, firefighters were still battling the blaze. Demolition work was also being carried out to assist firefighting efforts, with authorities estimating that completely extinguishing the fire could take several days. Police and fire officials are investigating the cause of the incident.
